I'm ready. The bags are ready. The room is ready. Kendi, are you ready?
At my appointment today my doctor said I'm 1-2 cm dilated, so I guess barely more than last week, and I'm 40% effaced. So, all good signs that this baby will be able to get out when she is ready. It's still almost 3 weeks until my due date, but it feels like a million years. Patience has never been my thing. Gotta try and enjoy the last bit of Matt's and my time as just "us" and the fun "waddly" stage of pregnancy. I know I'll miss my belly jumping around after she comes, so I should enjoy that too, while I can. Ok, hope you enjoyed my pep talk to myself.
Matt and I have been arguing about who is the better parent. He thinks he should get it by default just for being cool (at least he thinks he is). My argument is that my swollen sausage feet show my dedication to being a mom. I think when she gets here that we'll measure it by who changes the most dirty diapers. I'm planning on letting Matt win that one.
I can't wait to introduce Kendi to the world!

And we can't wait to meet her!! You both will be great parents!
Word on the street is...you're having a black baby. I'm not going to pry and ask questions.
Does Matt know?
Come on Kendi!!!! We're just waiting and waiting. But please don't come until Wednesday night so we can all rush to the hospital with Mommy & Daddy. Or we can all sing GOD IS IN THE HOUSE and TV PROPHET LEX can cause you to be born while he plays guitar hero. It's up to you.
P.S. Sarah, you are NOT waddling!
Glad to hear you are enjoying these last minutes...but, yes, you will have a whole new set of minutes to enjoy soon! Looking forward to her arrival SOON (if not already)! ;-)
